When Tavor emailed me and asked if I'd be down to come hiking with them for their engagement session, I think I screamed HELL YES at the email. We were up and at 'em bright and early on Thursday to beat the humidity, and hiked about a mile and a half before turning around, but not without stopping at an insaaaaaaane overlook on the Potomac river.
Last week I had the opportunity to sit in on Hustle and Flow, a day-long workshop for photographers (to help hone-in on my kelly kapoor, the business bitch skills). With it came a short shooting session with Amanda and Ben. They were brilliant, brillant models and so patient with us as we photographed them around Bushwick.
after photographing christine + sam's in-home engagement session i was so amped up for their wedding, and it truly did not disappoint. not only does it absolutely rule to work with a couple who feel like friends, but between golf cart rides, a s'mores station, sam's totally wonderful kids, and breakfast sandwiches at the end of the night (again, a place in my heart for your food priorities): so excellent, you guys. congratulations, and enjoy the next few weeks of your honeymoon!
Can I just tell you guys what a cool couple Sarah + Sam are? They are too adorable, and so relaxed - I have never seen a couple more chill on their wedding day. Pratt House was the perfect setting for these two teachers, surrounded by libraries and books. And did I mention how stinking cute they were?! April 8th was the very first actual spring day and we were gifted with the beautiful cherry blossom tree (note: singular, because thats all there was) and semi-warm weather. Totally perfect!
Alexis & Brett will be having a small ceremony later this year on a beautiful beach just outside of EPCOT in Disney World. Since they live in Long Island, they opted to come out to the city for the day and take a walk with me in Central Park to catch some cherry blossoms. We caught a little bit of an overcast day, but it was still a great shoot with perfect weather and full of beautiful florals
Sometimes you just wanna netflix and ramen, and that's exactly what we did with Christine + Sam. They came to me with the most creative ideas for their session and I have never been so on board for anything in less time. We spent a bit photographing in their home before heading outside to do some quick photos on the street (and I mean QUICK, I think this was the coldest day of the year!). They were total champs and MANAGED TO NOT EVEN LOOK COLD (HOW????). After braving the frigid air, we dipped into Talde, their favorite ramen joint for some breakfast ramen (lady-and-the-tramp-style, obviously), a bowl of killer tots, and a beer.
